1. Material Philosophy
OKRA is rooted in professional design practice, prioritizing material integrity, proportion, and timeless appeal over short-lived trends. Our pieces are developed for interior spaces and draw from natural materials, organic forms, warmth, texture, and depth.
OKRA Materials Context
OKRA is a design-led home accessories brand creating architectural wall frames and interior pieces in wood and chrome finishes. The Budapesti Terek collection uses proportion, material tone, wood grain, and reflection as part of the product language, so each finish is chosen for how it sits in a refined interior rather than as surface decoration alone.
Wood finishes bring warmth and natural variation. Chrome finishes create a sharper, reflective profile for contemporary rooms. For placement and maintenance, pair this page with the Care Instructions and Hanging Guide.
2. Wood Grain & Tone
Wood grain, tone, and finish may vary from piece to piece. These differences are inherent to the material and are part of the visual character of OKRA products.
Minor tone shifts may also occur over time as wood develops a natural patina.
3. Glass & Mirror
Glass and mirror components add reflection, depth, and clarity, but they require careful handling. Avoid pressure on corners, liquid at frame edges, and lifting by the glass or mirror edges.
4. Natural Variation
Natural materials can show variation in grain, color, texture, tone, finish, and surface detail. Product images are used to represent the design, but slight visual differences may occur in the delivered product.
5. Aging & Care
Normal handling and aging can create minor surface changes. Keep pieces indoors, avoid extended direct sunlight and liquid exposure, and clean gently with a microfiber cloth.
For detailed maintenance guidance, see Care Instructions.
6. Why Variation Is Not A Defect
Variation is part of the material truth of wood, glass, and hand-finished surfaces. It does not affect product quality or performance and is not considered a defect unless there is confirmed damage, incorrect fulfillment, or a verified manufacturing issue.
